I am afraid that the whole excercise of demonetisation is going to fall apart as an organised laundering of currency being done by politicians using the slum dwellers. Are the authorities watching!!!

Why do you think that every governor should be like Rajan. I think he does his work quietly. More work less talk. He is not definitely going to show all his cards. Digital is future. No one has taught WhatsApp to public. Peop le need to learn digital transactions. Less currency in market means more digital you go.

Urjit P. is probably not wanting to get into this mud bath. A disastrous experiment like demonotization that is crashing the once flying economy...oil was 60% lower, rains wer e good... but all to nought... How many years of this forced recession, only God knows.. only a fool would argue that black m oney hoarders will stop hoarding afresh.

If 1000 and 500 notes are banned then what is the use of introducing 2000 notes. Payments should based on fingerprints used for aadhar registration rather atm or pass books. Ban the 1000 and 500 totally.

Excellent, probably you have written what many of us are facing here in northeast. Shops are closed, only 2000 Rupees notes a re available in the bank.
