Thus Government of India, with a view to match local accounting and financial reporting with the best practices in the world, introduced Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), which are on the lines of IFRS, from 1st April 2015. For the convenience of applicability, IndAS was made applicable in a phased manner.
