Maruti holds on to green
Today morning, Maruti Suzuki announced that it was proactively undertaking a recall.
This is for WagonR (1 Litre) manufactured between November 15th 2018 and October 15th 2019 and Baleno (Petrol) manufactured between January 8th 2019 and November 4th 2019.
The recall will cover 134,885 vehicles of both these models.
The company said that it will inspect 56,663 units of WagonR and 78,222 units of Baleno for a possible issue with the Fuel Pump.
Faulty parts will be replaced, free of cost.
The company said that owners of the suspected vehicles under this recall campaign will be contacted by Maruti Suzuki authorized dealers in due course of time.
Recall happens quite often in cars and the market does not seem to be too perturbed by this. The overall mood of the market has percolated to the stock price; the stock rose almost 2% to an intraday high at Rs.5877.60 but it is currently just about holding on to the green at Rs.5812, up less than 1%.
