Bharat Shramik. That’s the website we all should be talking about and not TikTok.

This is a site, designed by 17-year old Akshat Mittal, a commerce graduate from Amity International School, Noida. He helps connect the unemployed migrant workers with employers looking for labour to restart their factories.

The process is fairly simple. Workers can call the helpline -  +91 8822022022 and get themselves registered wherein he/she gets to select the preferred job and also the area where they prefer to work. And employers can register themselves on the website. Employers are restricted to 20 random results of the workforce they can hire to prevent data theft. If a company wishes to hire in large numbers, they can email to hello@bharatshramik.in.

Even households who are looking for workers for day jobs like electrician, plumber or carpenter can register on this platform.  More than 18,000 workers from Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh have registered and some 20 companies have registered themselves.

Hope this really helps connect the skill to the need and fill in the supply gap while providing employment to so many displaced workers.
