You want to shop, you open an app. You want to work out, you open an app. You want to connect with your family and friends, you open an app. Today there is an app for everything, every need and want of our lives. Could it really have been too far then that there wouldn’t be an app for booking cabs and cars for local travel within the city?

A new breed of transportation startups is using technology for the taxi service market in India, which is ruled by independent operators, and cruising cabs.  Today, cab companies such as Ola, Meru, Easy Cabs and Savaari amongst others are competing against San Francisco based Uber Cabs that recently entered the Indian market. The difference between a Western company like Uber and other local companies is their app. One just has to download their app, feed in their details and get a car at their doorstep. And once you feed in your credit card details, the money will be deducted automatically after your journey.

This is the new trend. Today, not just an online but mobile presence is a necessity. No one is complaining. An app for a cab is the way to go!
