Is this really for real?????

An online retailer delivering cash – Rs.2000 note as lines at ATM do not make it easy to withdraw money?

Indeed it is true. Snapdeal is delivering up to Rs2,000 each day to people’s homes. And the company says that this is a goodwill gesture to allow users to easily access cash without having to queue up at their bank or at the ATMs.

Users don’t have to make any other purchase to take advantage of the cash delivery offer. The service is first launching in Gurugram and Bengaluru and based on the feedback will expand it to other cities.

How to order the money from Snapdeal?  Customers can either pay with Snapdeal’s mobile wallet app, FreeCharge, or swipe their credit or debit cards on the point-of-sale machines that courier partners will bring with them when delivering the cash. A Re1 fee applies to each order and it takes a day to process the request.

How does Snapdeal have the cash to deliver? It will be using the funds which it has collected from customers who have ordered other goods from their site and opted to pay through cash-on-delivery.
