Talk about creating a frenzy through a raffle! And surely no one can do it better than the Americans!

If you have been following the news, Nike is ready to launch a revolutionary pair of sneakers – it will be self-lacing. This concept of a shoe tying its own lace was first imagined in the cult movie – Back to the Future II, way back in 1989. And almost 30 years later, this has become a reality.

Nike has announced a raffle where 89 lucky people could get their hands, err, legs into these sneakers. The draw began yesterday. These shoes, known as Nike Mags, will be raffled through a digital draw and is open only to residents of USA and Canada. The draw will end on 11th Oct and winners will be announced on 17th Oct.

The entrance to the draw s via nike.com/mag or via the Nike+ App, with each entry granting equal opportunity to win a pair of the Nike Mag. Tickets are $10 donations to The Michael J. Fox Foundation. There is no limit to the amount of tickets that can be obtained per individual — the more tickets, the greater chance of winning. To connect this to a good cause while creating excitement over the Mags, it will lead to a good sizable donation to help research into Parkinson’s disease. Now this is something where one has to say, “Just do it!”
