The divide grows
While the Formula One races are held just once a year, Jaypee Sports International which owns and manages Noida’s Buddh International Circuit would have a tough time recovering their costs if not for adrenaline junkies.
These junkies are not just your average, middle class men and women but rich industrialists, young scions and multimillionaires like Singhania’s, Oberoi’s, Chhabria’s and Jain’s who happily shell out up to Rs.20 lakhs a day to take laps in their gleaming Ferrari, Maseratis and superbikes. Family, friends, partying and racing- means to relax for hard working, rich, young industrialists.
Well, and people like us go to movies and hill stations to relax. There cannot be a bigger irony of life and truth too, the bridge between rich and ordinary people will never reduce, only increase.
