The power of power supply!

Nine years ago, a few villages in Gujarat like Abhrampara, Bagoya, Adsang and Baghda didn't have a regular power supply which is actually nothing new in. Most of the villages do not have power in India. These were villages where farmers coexisted with a bustling diamond cutting and polishing industry but thanks to the erratic power neither the farmers could work nor could those in the diamond industry.

But what makes this story different is that these villages today have 24/7 power supply and this is all. Thanks to the jyoti gram yogna.  Today the youth which had migrated to the cities are returning back.

From  two lakh diamond workers eight years ago, 3 lakh new jobs have been created. The Bhavnagar district alone provides employment to more than 1.5 lakh people. This is how 24/7 power supply has the power to change lives.
