Travel to work in a Merc!

If you are employed by Mercedes-Benz India, you are surely going to travel to work is grand style! The CEO of the company believes that his employees should have a safe, relaxing and comfortable journey to work and with that objective in mind, has introduced a new luxurious, air-conditioned  Mercedes-Benz low-floor city buses for their daily commute.

Known as City Bus, it has a much superior air suspension technology which lends it good stability and ride comfort. On the interiors, the bus has multiple charging points, destination board, high cushioning and a powerful air conditioner. The plan is to have 16 buses plying purely to pick up employees from across Pune city and get them to work at its headquarters at Chakan. Yes, later in the evening, it will also drop back the employees home.

If most of the auto companies across India introduce this system, commute would become much easier and there will be lesser cars and thus lower levels of pollution. Sending out a rickety bus is no incentive for executive to give up their cars. If all companies placed the comfort of their employees as a priority, working could indeed become a pleasure for many.
