DB Corp has filed its DRHP with Sebi on 19/12/2007 to enter the capital market with an IPO of upto 1,88,00,000 equity shares of Rs 10 each for cash at a price to be decided through a 100 per cent book building issue.

The issue shall constitute 10.02 per cent of the fully diluted post-issue capital.

The objects of the issue are to raise funds to set up new publishing units, upgradation of existing plant and machinery and prepayment of existing term loans.

 

The equity shares of the company are proposed to be listed on BSE and NSE. Enam Securities, Citigroup Global Markets and Kotak Mahindra Capital are the book running lead managers to the issue.

 

The company is one of the leading print media companies in India, publishing 31 newspaper editions and 125 sub-editions in 3 languages (Hindi, Gujarati and English) in 9 states in India. Its flagship newspapers, Dainik Bhaskar and Divya Bhaskar, have a combined readership of 25.33 million readers.

 

The company's subsidiary Synergy Media Entertainment has licenses to operate 17 FM radio stations, 13 of which are currently in operation. Synergy Media has also filed an eligibility bid with the government to operate an additional 4 FM radio stations in Mumbai, Bangalore, New Delhi and Hyderabad.

As of
September 30, 2007, the company's consolidated fixed assets were Rs. 327.21 crore. Its consolidated total revenues and net profit after tax, as restated, for the six months ended September 30, 2006 were Rs. 312.29 crore and Rs. 29.91crore respectively and for six months ended September 30, 2007, the consolidated total revenues and net profit after tax were Rs. 392.24 crore and Rs. 31.61 crore respectively.
