This Gujarat based company, which manufactures Sulphuric Acid, Oleum, Sulphur Dioxide etc, used primarily in Chemical and Dyestuff industries had posted a superlative performance for Q3Fy17 – a 3.5 times jump in net profit and it was Q3 which helped the company end the fiscal on a bumper note. But Q4 was disappointing to say the least. Net sales rose 33% (YoY) at Rs.8 crore but a 14% rise in expenses, led by 53% jump in manufacturing costs, 28% rise in excise duty, 14% increase in finance costs, pulled down the net profit to Rs.39 lakh v/s Rs.4.45 crore in Q3 and loss of Rs.1 crore in previous Q4.
EBITDA for the quarter was at Rs.3.15 crore, up 119%.
It’s a debt free company and equity stands at Rs.7 crore. It ended FY17 with a net profit at Rs.9 crore v/s Rs.1.35 crore in FY16. EPS stands at Rs.13 (FV of Rs.10).
