Cyient, formerly Infotech Enterprise, posted a 12% (QoQ) drop in net profit at Rs.87 crore. Revenue was at Rs.782 crore, up 1.3% sequentially and in dollar terms, revenue was flat at $118 million. Operating profit was at Rs.110 crore, down 5% and margins fell from 15.1% to 14.1%. This is a seasonal thing as Q3 is usually weak for IT companies due to lower number of working days across geographies.

In terms of geographies, Americas revenue was down 1% while EMEAI (Europe, Middle East, Africa and India was down 3%. Asia Pacific was the only geography which ended in the positive – up 11%. In terms of verticals, Engineering vertical revenue had a drop of 0.9%. With a 5% QoQ growth, the Product Realization (PR) unit continues to consolidate and integrate the original PR unit with Rangsons and Techno Tools with the addition of a wire harness unit to deliver complete box build design - led manufacturing solutions.

Its total employee headcount is at 12,186 and cash balance is at Rs.27 crore.
