Hindustan Hardy Spicer is a Nasik based company engaged in the manufacture of propeller shafts and accessories for the automotive, industrial and agricultural industries. The Company supplies its products to its customers in India and to various CNH plants in Europe and the United Kingdom.

A thinly traded stock, its 2-week average volumes is less than 400 shares and market cap is at Rs.15 crore. Total promoters stake is 66.23% wherein the German company, Spicer Gelenkwellenbau GMBH holds 26.03% and the rest by the Saran family.

The company posted a turnaround in Q4 and Fy16. For the quarter, from a loss of Rs.2 crore in previous Q4, the company posted a net profit of Rs.55 lakh, up from profit of Rs.26 lakh in Q3. This was on a flat net sales of Rs.14 crore – what really helped was the 23% drop in costs.

It ended Fy16 with a net profit at Rs.53 lakh v/s loss of Rs.1.6 crore in Fy15. Equity is tiny at Rs.1.50 crore and EPS is at Rs.3.73 crore (FV of Rs,10/share). Debt stands at Rs.6 crore.
