Jamna Auto, the largest manufacturer of Tapered Leaf and Parabolic Springs for Commercial Vehicles (CVs) in India, hit a new high, celebrating its Q4 numbers. Thanks to lower base effect and higher topline, the company, for Q4FY15, posted a 5 times rise in consolidated net profit of Rs.15 crore on a 40% jump in net sales at Rs.336 crore. The company ended FY15 also on a good note, with a 29% jump in net profit at Rs.107 crore.

The company’s costs for the quarter rose 33% (YoY) and this was led mainly by a 31% surge in raw material cost at 31%. Yet, thanks to the robust sales, EBITDA came in 137% higher at Rs.38 crore and margin rose from 6.53% to 11.11%, a jump of almost 500 bps. Tax outgo on the other hand jumped up 8 times. The market was also happy that the Board had approved sub-divide (stock split) of each equity share of the company having a face value of Rs.10 each into 2 equity shares of the face value of Rs.5 each. Promoters currently hold 43.92% stake, with FIIs holding 0.66% and DIIs 0.31%.
