The company has four units - Industrial Switchgears, Building Segment, Energy Management and Copper Business. YoY, total income showed a 12.5% rise at Rs.91 crore. A 14% drop in total costs helped the company post a 5% rise in EBITDA at Rs.11 crore and margins came in at Rs.12.5%, down from 13.4% (YoY). Net profit came in at Rs.5 core, marginally up from Rs.4.6 crore in previous Q2.
50% of its revenue comes from industrial switchgear and it showed a 5% rise in revenue. Copper business, which is mainly wires and cables, contributes 36% and it did very well – revenue up 24%. Building segment contributes less than 8% but it showed a good rise of 117%. 82% of its revenue comes from India and balance is exports. The company is the preferred supplier to GE, Schneider and only approved supplier of Nuclear Power Corporation and is the largest supplier of rotary and load break switches to Indian Railways. Its energy management business contributed 7% to topline and showed a YoY decline of 11.4% as this fiscal, it does not seem to have booked any order - this business involves making energy savers and street light controllers.
