This company is a leading processor of plastics and similar to Sintex. It offers plastic piping, packaging products, industrial products and consumer products It states that it has 23 manufacturing facilities spread across India and two more are expected to go on stream in November 2015.
For its first quarter ended 30th Sept 2015 (year ending 30th June), the company posted a 2% (YoY) rise in consolidated net sales at Rs.770 crore. Costs remained flat due to lower raw material prices and operating profit came in at Rs.91 crore, up 12%. Interest cost saw a 28% decline.
The company posted a net profit of Rs.32 crore, up 45% (YoY) but after deducting loss of Rs.7 crore incurred by associate companies, the final PAT for the quarter was down 2% at Rs.24 crore. It is its consumer products and piping systems which have done well showing a 15% and 14% rise in topline respectively. The other two, packaging and industrial recorded a fall but at the EBIT levels, all did pretty well. It also has facilities to Composite LPG cylinders which the Govt hopes to launch alongside existing steel ones from April 2016 and the company expects the Govt of India to place an initial order in November.
