Titagarh Wagons

Titagarh Wagons makes wagons such as container flats, grain hoppers, cement wagons, clinker wagons, tank wagon under the French brand Arbel Fauvet Rail and cast steel bogies and couplers for freight application. It has two vertical – wagons and coaches and specialized equipments and bridges.

The company posted excellent numbers for Q2FY17. Riding high on the lower base effect and order offtake of wagons and coaches, the company turned around with a consolidated net profit of Rs.8 crore v/s loss of Rs.9 crore in previous Q2. Sequentially, it has gone up from Rs.1 crore in Q1FY17. This was on the back of a whopping 101% jump in total income at Rs.411 crore. Finance cost though has doubled up from Rs.3 to Rs.6 crore; borrowings stand at Rs.215 crore.

The stock was in the limelight this week after it was accredited with registration  and has also received an order from the Indian Navy. It can now make "Non-Weapon Platforms upto 120 m length" and "All types of Yardcraft." Prior to this, in Novermber’16, the company had got an order worth Rs.75 crore from the Indian Navy for building of two 1000T oil tankers, to be delivered within 21 months from signing of contract. The group’s order book now stands at around Rs.3200 crore.
