Vinyl Chemicals (India) is engaged in trading of chemicals; it sells various specialty chemicals to textile, paints and adhesive sectors. The company is engaged mainly in trading of Vinyl Acetate Monomer (VAM).
The company’s performance for Q4FY16 was not too encouraging. Net sales during the quarter was down 5% (YoY) at Rs.87 crore. Costs were down 5% and this helped push up the operating profits by 50% at Rs.6 crore. The company’s net profit was at Rs.3 crore, flat and at same levels as in previous Q4.
The company ended FY16 with a 24% drop in net sales at Rs.325 crore and net profit was down 42% at Rs.7 crore. The company is debt free. Equity is very small at Rs.1.83 crore and EPS is at Rs.4 (FV is at Re.1/share) and reserves stands at Rs.37 crore.
