Amara Raja fully charged

Amara Raja Batteries is the top gainer on the BSE since the morning. With volumes surging almost 5 times, the stock, which had closed yesterday at Rs.654, opened higher at Rs.676, going up to an intraday high at Rs.705.90. It has a 10% UC and today it is at Rs.719.40. Its 52-week is at Rs.796.
The market is very happy with its Q2FY20 earnings. It reported its highest-ever net profit at Rs.219 crore, a 82% (YoY) jump despite operational revenue showing a 3% decline at Rs.1695 crore.
Its operating profit rose 23% at Rs.292 crore while margins showed an improvement from 13.5% to 17.2% - softer commodity prices helped shore up the bottomline.
