Amara Raja Batteries is the top loser on the BSE, down currently almost 5.5% at Rs.264.60, with an intra day low at Rs.252.30. Volumes are huge at 1.33 lakh shares today compared to 43,000 shares average of past two weeks.
The stock has tanked on its set of disappointing numbers for Q4Fy13. The numbers were dull. Though net sales rose by a smart 19% (YoY) at Rs.801 crore, net profit rose just by a meager 2% (YoY) at Rs.650 crore. Its depreciation and amortization charges rose over two times at Rs.27 crore v/s Rs.12 crore in Q4FY12 and this pulled down the bottomline.
