Antony Waste at new high
Antony Waste Handling Cell is doing very well today; from its close of Rs.568.45, the stock opened 2% higher at Rs.580.50 and went on to hit a new 52-week high at Rs.620.45, a rise of more than 9%.
The company posted its performance update for June’24 quarter, which is Q1FY25 and it has been a very good one too.
The company posted a very strong operational performance in its Collection and Disposal business and ramped up its Waste to Energy plant in Pimpri too. Building upon the strong base, its primary core revenues increased 11% (YoY) and its Waste to Energy plant, achieved a Plant Load Factor (PLF) of 89% during the quarter compared to 71% achieved in its inaugural full quarter of operation (Q4'24) - marking a significant milestone.
The’ company during the quarter handled 1.18 million tonnes of waste, up 6%(YoY), after adjusting the finalisation of the Mangalore C&T project and completion of the GNIDA Biomining project last year.
Within the C&T business segment in Q1 FY25, the company efficiently handled 0.47 million tonnes, a growth of 4% (YoY). Compost sales for Q1FY25 amounted to 6,000 tonnes vs. 2,800 tonnes sold in the corresponding period of the previous year.
