Ashok Leyland hits a bump

Ashok Leyland slipped over 4.5% to Rs.90.10 and got positioned among the top lowers on the BSE after it announced its monthly sales numbers for May’17.
The company’s total sales declined 8% (YoY) to 9071 units. It terms of breakup, it were the medium and heavy commercial vehicles (M&HCV) which did poorly – sales were down 18% at 6139 units. Light commercial vehicles (LCVs) did well – up 22% at 2932 units.
