Assam Company was locked on the 5% UC of Rs.7.08 the moment it opened for trading today morning. Its 52-week high of Rs.8.13 seems so within reach.

The company announced yesterday that it has been granted full ownership of Amguri fields. The company said that its production sharing contract period shall be extended by 5 years from the original term.

It will also be paid a sum of US$3.54 million is granted to co as damages/compensation along with interest at 6% p.a from March 2011 till date of payment.

The company will also receive cost of arbitral proceedings of Rs.1.25 crore.
