Bajaj Auto zooms over 8%

Bajaj Auto is having a field day today, figuring among the top five gainers on the BSE since the opening bell. The stock price surged over 8% to hit an intraday high at Rs.3111.75. Its 10% UC for the day is at Rs.3167.45.

The market is super thrilled with its monthly sales number for Sept. It recorded the highest ever exports for the month at 1,85,351 units, a 16% (YoY) jump.

Its domestic 2-wheeler sales rose 24% at 2,19,500 units though its commercial vehicles segment recorded a dismal show – it fell 76% to 9,231 units though exports managed to stay at the level on a YoY at 27,224 units.

Thus on the back of superb exports, the company reported a 10% rise in total sales for Sept at 4,41,306 units.
