Bajaj Healthcare hits new high

Bajaj Healthcare announced yesterday that it has received the licence from the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) to manufacture and sell the anti-COVID-19 drug 2-Deoxy-D-glucose aka 2DG.
This medicine has been developed by the DRDO laboratory -- Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS) -- in collaboration with Dr Reddy’s Laboratories.
The drug comes in powder form and is sold at Rs 990 per sachet.
Following this news, the stock which had closed yesterday at Rs.911.10, opened higher at Rs.950 and went on to hit a new high at Rs.1009.80.
