Almost the entire sugar pack is up in the green with the pack being led by Bajaj Hindusthan. It is currently up over 3% at Rs.20.25 with an intra day high at Rs.20.40. Others like Shree Renuka, Dhampur, Balrampur Chini, all are up in the green.

The sugar pack is up once again on hopes getting rekindled that the Govt soon announce decontrol on the sector.  A partial decontrol is expected as production is estimated to be higher. Last month, the Food Minister had announced that sugar production could touch 25 million tonnes in FY14, which is higher than the domestic demand of around 22 million tones.
