BHEL opened itself today at a new 52-week high at Rs.121.15, a rise of almost 2% and is currently trading at Rs.119 levels.
The stock surged after it announced receipt of Rs.15,530 crore from NTPC for a thermal power plant.
The company will be setting up a 2x800 MW Supercritical Thermal Power Project Stage-II at Lara in Chhattisgarh for NTPC.
The market is super enthused with this order as this comes closely on the heels on another order worth Rs.22452 crore it had received 5-days ago from NHPC and another Rs.4000 crore order from a subsidiary of Adani Power.
