CDSL hits new high, again!
CDSL seems to be on a roll today too! From its close of Rs.1855.95, it opened higher today at Rs.1869 and went on to hit a new 52-week high at Rs.1884.45.
This frenzy on the counter is purely because of many fund houses and analysts taking positions in the stock for a long term story.
Even Mr.SP Tulsian have 12 buy calls on the stock in last 1 month, with buy call given on 28th Oct at Rs. 1,419.
CDSL is the only listed Depository (with NSDL expected to get listed on BSE in this FY). CDSL is listed only on NSE (as BSE is promoter with 15% holding). The comoany posted robust Q2FY25 numbers, and its profitability seen better over NSDL. Q2 Income rose to Rs. 359 cr, against Rs.287 cr qoq and Rs.230 cr yoy, with PBT growing to Rs. 225 cr, against Rs.175 cr qoq and Rs.145 cr on yoy. PAT for Q2FY25 stood at Rs.162 cr against Rs.134 cr qoq and Rs.109 cr on yoy. EPS of Rs.7.75 for Q2 and Rs. 14.17 for H1FY25, against Rs. 20.05 for FY 24, may see an EPS of over Rs. 38 for FY25. Equity of the company is seen small at Rs. 209 cr (FV Rs. 10, post 1:1 bonus issued by the company on 24-8-24) with Net Worth of Rs. 1,864 cr, as at 30-9-24, giving Book Value of Rs. 90 per share.
CDSL became the first depository to register 13.5+ crore demat accounts as on 30th September 24, while during the Q2 of FY 25, 1.18 crore new demat accounts were opened.
