CL Educate gets 'discounted' listing

After the blockbuster opening of Music Broadcast and D-Mart, today was a very tepid day for newly listed, CL Educate. The stock got listed at Rs.398 on the BSE as against IPO price of Rs.502.

It is not as though the IPO did not get a response – it was oversubscribed almost 2 times; not as good as the other IPOs.

The issue was subscribed mainly by  qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) category – it got  subscribed 3.65 times and retail investors 1.63 times. HNI portion went undersubscribed at 21%.
