Cochin Shipyard sailing high

Cochin Shipyard is among the top five gainers on the BSE; it rose 7% to hit an intraday high at Rs.473.65 and is now trading at Rs.468 levels. Its 52-week high and low stands at Rs.686.80 and Rs.290.50 respectively.

The stock price surged on its announcement that it has bagged an order worth Rs.550 crore from Samskip group, based in Rotterdam.

The order is for for the design and construction of two Zero Emission Feeder Container Vessels with an option for two more vessels.

The first vessel is to be delivered in 28 months and the second is to be within 34 months.
