Coffee Day or CCD is among the top five gainers on the BSE, going up almost 9% to Rs.286, with volumes doubling up.
The stock price is up on expectations that what happened to Costa Coffee could happen to CCD also.
Coca-Cola is acquiring Coca-Cola Costa coffee brand from British firm Whitbread for 3.9 billion pounds ($5.1 billion) in cash.
