Cosmo Films has a good show
Cosmo Films seems to be having a good run on the bourses today. The stock is currently up over 4.5% at Rs.49.20, with an intra day high and low at Rs.50 and Rs.48.50 respectively. Market cap of this small cap stock is at Rs.95 crore.
The stock has shot up, reacting to the news it published on 20th Sept. The company which makes bi-axially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film announced that it has successfully commissioned its new state-of-art manufacturing facility at Shendra, SEZ, Aurangabad, Maharashtra and started commercial production on 1 September 2013. With the commissioning of this new facility, the approximate installed capacity of the company now stands at 130,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) for BOPP, 40,000 TPA for thermal films and 8,000 TPA for metalized films. This new plant would mainly be dedicated to exports. The company is extremely optimistic about the future and expects the new facility coupled with its initiatives in Research & Development, to help it continue with its growth trajectory.
