GE Power surges up

GE Power announced today morning that it has received two orders – one from NTPC and another from Hindustan Zinc.

The order from NTPC is worth Rs.24 crore and is for supply of generator spares supply of Turbine Blades for NTPC Nabinagar, to be executed in 15 months. The other order from Hind Zinc is worth Rs.8.75 crore and is for supply of  R&M of Boiler at its Rajasthan plant, to be executed in one year.

And on 30th March, it had got another two orders – one from NTPC worth Rs.5.84 crore for providing services for Generator COH at NTPC Solapur, to be completed in 28 days. Another order came in worth Rs.20 crore from UPRVUNL-Harduaganj for supply of generator rotor.

The stock price has reacted positively, opening 3.5% higher at Rs.273.75 and rising to an intraday high at Rs.288.35, up more than 8.5%.
