Goa Carbon at 5% UC
Goa Carbon had two good news to share. First – the maintenance work unit at St. Jose de Areal, Salcete-Goa has been completed and the Kiln has been lit up from yesterday. After preliminary heat up, feeding of raw material will commence and normal production is likely to resume from today. The unit was closed on 1st Jan.
The second news is much better – the company’s Goa plant reported good production numbers for December. Its production for the month increased by 132% (MoM) at 6254.800 MT in Dec.
Its Paradeep unit was shut for maintenance and it reported a 54% (MoM) fall at 10,508 MT.
Bilaspur unit is shut for maintenance and repair work.
Its total production was up by a good 77% at 11,111.80 MT.
For the market, the overall number is good and that is all that matters.
The stock opened stronger at Rs.222.40 and within minutes was locked at the 5% UC at Rs.230.40.
