Goa Carbon fired up
Goa Carbon, on Friday, after market hours announced that its operations at its Bilaspur unit have resumed. The unit was shut from 12th June.
The kiln there was lit up, preliminary heating up process was completed, with commencement of feeding raw material, normal production is expected shortly.
The company, a part of the Dempo group, is the second largest producer of Calcined Petroleum Coke in India.
Last month its unit at Saicete-Goa resumed production.
The company, every year has to shut down units for regular maintenance; its other unit in Paradeep shut down in May and started operations by end of the month.
Currently all its units are fully operational.
The market is happy and stock rose over 12% to hit an intraday high at Rs.474.95 on the back of more than 2x rise in volume.
