Right from the opening bell, HDIL has held strong to its position of being the top loser on the BSE. Tumbling down almost 8% to Rs.93 levels, the market has given its Q1FY17 a clear thumbs down.
The realty major posted a 30% (YoY) decline in consolidated net profit at Rs.41 crore on a 2% fall in total income at Rs.261 crore. The profit at EBITDA level was better only on account of lower cost – consolidated EBITDA was up 17% at Rs.190 crore and margins rose from 71.4% to 60.3%.
