IRB Infra tolls well

IRB Infra is a big winner today figuring among the top five gainers in the morning trade. From its close of Rs.66.07, it opened today at Rs.74.01 and rose to an intraday high at Rs.74.60, just shy of its 52-week high of Rs.76.55.

The stock is up today after the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has hiked toll amounts across the country by 5% starting today. The price hikes were deferred due to the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.

IRB is a big beneficiary as it operates 72 toll plazas with 820 FASTag compliant lanes.
