From a profit in Q1FY16, Jaypee Infratech posted a net loss of Rs.36 crore for Q1FY17 – a huge jump up in costs, up from Rs.258 crore to Rs.957 crore and then the finance cost of Rs.193 crore pushed the company into the red.

The market is as such disenchanted with the Jaypee group as of now as the high debt burden continues to eat away the profits of the company, with defaults and restructuring taking center stage.

A penny stock today, the stock price has tanked down into the red to Rs.9, a decline of around 6%.
