Jet Airways at 5% UC

Jet Airways, which had closed yesterday at Rs.105.10, opened itself today at its 5% UC of the day at Rs.110.35, with only buyers on the counter.

The stock is up on unconfirmed reports that Airbus SE has emerged as the front runner to win an order for 50 aircraft worth $5.5 billion from the company.

The news is that negotiations are on for A320neo jets and A220 planes. They have yet to decide on whether to go with Boeing Co or with Embraer SA.

No word from the company yet as the stock stays frozen.
