Karur Vysya hits new high

Yesterday, SBI Mutual Fund picked up a 1.5% stake or a total of 1.2 crore shares in Karur Vysya Bank.

This was purchased through open market transactions for a total of Rs.194 crore based on bulk deal data provided by BSE and NSE.

The data shows that the shares from both the bourses were bought at an average price of Rs.162/share.

The data however did not provide the name of the seller.

This deal propelled the stock price to zoom up to a new 52-week high at Rs.170.35, up 3.5%. It is currently trading at Rs.166 levels.
