KNR Construction on good road

KNR Constructions hit a new 52-week high today at Rs.524.80 and volumes have jumped up over 9 times. It has come off the high but it remains pretty strong at Rs.520 levels, up almost 8%.

The stock hit the roof after the company said that it has bagged a Rs.669 crore order from National Highway Authority of India for a road project worth Rs.669 crore. This is for four-laning of a road project in Kerala on EPC mode and to be completed within two years.

A month ago too, the company had won a Rs.937 crore order from NHAI, which was for four laning and two laning of Madurai-Ramanathapuram Section of NH-49 in the State Of Tamil Nadu under NHDP Phase-III on EPC mode. This was to be completed within 30 months from the appointed date.
