L&T clocks robust order book
It has been orders galore for L&T this last week on FY17 fiscal. It has secured orders worth of Rs 18,549 crore during the month of March of which Rs.14,223 crore came in during the current week alone.
The stock has been vibrant almost this whole month and today it rose 2% at Rs.1583, getting closer to its 520week high of Rs.1615.
Yesterday, it announced that the construction arm of L&T has recently won orders worth ?1725 crore across two of its business segments. An engineering, procurement and construction order has been secured from the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MORTH) for 4 laning of the Wadpale to Bhogaon Khurd section of NH-17 in Maharashtra. The scope of work includes construction of 38.76 km of four lane dual carriage way with concrete pavement, 27.53 km of service / slip road, 2 major bridges, 9 minor bridges and 17 vehicular and cattle underpasses along with other associated works. It has also has received engineering, procurement and construction orders worth Rs.1000 crores under L&T GeoStructure.
