Maruti drives-in SCross thru Nexa

Shares of India’s largest passenger car maker Maruti Suzuki have spiked up over by almost 1%, at Rs. 4,212 now, as company has made public an information document about its newly launched crossover S-Cross, through an entirely new distribution channel named Nexa. Within minutes of this news, volumes on the counter have ballooned, such that the share has also made a new 52 week high of Rs. 4228.95, on NSE.  

 

India’s most loved four wheeler maker, enjoying the numero uno position for over two decades, has launched the country’s first premier crossover names S-Cross with bold and aggressive exteriors and stylish interiors. While the price is yet to be announced, industry pundits are pegging a very aggressive estimate of Rs. 8-14 lakh ex-showroom. It will compete with the likes of Ford Ecosport, Reanult Duster and Hyundai Creta.

 

Another first from the company is that this new vehicle will be launched through a new line of showrooms Nexa –acronym for New Exclusive Automotive Experience, which will be an industry-first, targeted at young savvy Indians. While Maruti’s existing retail channel is already a benchmark in customer satisfaction, Nexa is likely to take it one notch higher – with better customer experience and delight. Company is targeting 100 Nexa stores in over 30 cities by FY16 end.
