Maruti hits a life time high
Maruti has hit an all-time record high of Rs.5707.25 and remains firmly some 4% up at Rs.5690 levels.
The market is thrilled with the ‘festive’ performance of the company for September. While most of the other car makers have reported a growth in sales for the month in single digit, with Tata Motors and Ashok Leyland reporting a decline, Maruti has reported a thumping 31% (YoY) jump in sales.
This jump by led by a 52% rise in sales of Ciaz, a 25% growth in mini brands like Alto and Wagon R. The compact cars like Swift, Ritz, Celerio, Dzire and Baleno reported a 12% jump while that of Vitara rse three times- this was mainly on account of lower base effect.
Its wholesale dispatches increase by 29% to a record 137,321 units last month and compared to August, this has risen from 132, 211 units sold.
The performance for October is also expected to be very good given Dassera and Diwali in the same month.
