Maruti jumps almost 3.5%

Maruti Suzuki had some good news after a very long time. It record a growth in production numbers in the month of November, after cutting down volumes for eight months straight in a row.

India's largest carmaker manufactured 141,834 units in November 2019 as compared to 135,946 units it manufactured in the same month last year, posting a year on year (YoY) growth of 4.33%.

The company had cut its production by 20.70% at 119,337 units in October 2019 v/s 150,497 in the same month last year.

Production of mini and compact segment cars, including Alto, new WagonR, Celerio, Ignis, Swift, Baleno and Dzire stood at 1,02,185 units v/s  95,883 units, up 6.5% (YoY). However, production of mini segment cars, such as Alto and S-Presso, fell to 24,052 v/s 30,129 (YoY).

The stock price rose, opening at Rs.7000 v/s Friday’s close of Rs.6881.35. It rose almost 3.5% up at Rs.7078. Its 10% UC for today stands at Rs.7569.45.
