Motherson Sumi is the top gainer on the BSE currently, going up over 11% at Rs.179.30. The 52-week high and low is at Rs.263.47 and Rs.140.80 respectively.

There is unconfirmed news, reported by Reuters that the company is in early stage talks with German peer Leoni over a possible combination of the two companies.

The deal could be worth more than $1.14 billion.

Leoni is the largest maker of special automotive cable globally.
