Navin and SRF are stars

The top two gainers on the BSE currently are Navin Fluorine and SRF. Navin Fluorine from its close of Rs.3489.45, rose to a new 52-week high at Rs.3974.15. SRF too surged from its close of Rs.2350.90 to a new high at Rs.2674.90.

The reason these two stocks hitting new highs today? The US gas distributors hiked prices for refrigerant gases, R32 and R125, and is leading to a price increase up to 200%.  A brokerage house, on this news has said that for every $1/kg increase in R32 price, Navin’s EBITDA will improve by Rs.77 crore and that of SRF by Rs.260 crore.

SRF’s total capacity of R32 currently stands at 30,000 tpa and 7000 tpa of R125. Navin’s R32 capacity is 4500 tpa to which another 4500 tpa will get added in Feb’25.
