NBCC in the limelight

National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) is very much in the limelight currently. The stock opened Rs.22 higher at Rs.827, going on to hit an intra day high at Rs.847.75. Its 52-week high is at Rs.922.80.
The stock has surged up after it announced yesterday evening, after market closure that it has secured a Rs.1237 crore order from Odisha. This is from Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. The company has said that a tripartite agreement in this regard would be signed on January 12 between Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India; Department of Rural Development, Govt. of Odisha and NBCC.
