NMDC down in the red

NMDC is down almost 2% at Rs.120.15. the stock had hit a 52-week low on 6^th Aug at Rs.92.65.

The stock is down in the red today after the company stated that Naxals attacked its facilities at Dantewada and destroyed a conveyor belt early Wednesday. The attack took place at Bacheli mines of the NMDC around 2.30 am. The belt transported iron ore, around 20,000 tonnes per day and the damage would affect the operations for three days. But the company has stated that that attack would neither affect production nor the despatches.
